Center for Education and Lifelong Learning
The NYLI Center for Education and Lifelong Learning is committed to ensuring that every child and youth has access to high-quality, inclusive education, whether formal or informal. As a key pillar of the institute, the center upholds the belief that learning is a lifelong journey—one that is fundamental to building a balanced, fulfilling, and meaningful life. Our efforts are focused on advocating for educational opportunities that foster growth, empower communities, and equip young people with the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
It envisions a society where every individual has access to lifelong, high-quality, and inclusive education both formal and informal designed to meet present challenges and anticipate future needs.
Goals
Anchored on the inherent rights of children and youth to education, CELL works to strengthen children’s and youth’s access to high-quality, inclusive education both formal and informal, aimed to:
- Guarantee that all children and youth, regardless of background or ability, have access to high-quality, inclusive education that meets their diverse needs.
- Foster an environment where education is recognized as a continuous process, encouraging lifelong learning both inside and outside traditional academic settings.
- Develop materials and learning experiences that equip students with the higher order thinking skills, and life skills needed to thrive in the modern world and address future challenges.
