Our Collectives
Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc is a team of committed individuals working together to provide Filipino youths and their communities with enabling opportunities, mentorship, and resources to make a difference.
We exist to inspire hope and nurture a generation of empowered Filipino youth, dedicated to building inclusive and sustainable Filipino communities.

Our Approach
At Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc. (NYLI), we are dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable by working both for and with them. We engage children, youth, their families, and entire communities to foster collective action and drive meaningful, lasting change.
We ensure that our initiatives go beyond words and lead to tangible improvements in the lives of those we serve. By promoting active citizenship and informed action, NYLI helps build more accountable, transparent, and responsive governance structures, contributing to the well-being of communities.
Our team and volunteers bring a wealth of experience and adaptability, empowering communities to navigate and address their ever-changing needs. In the face of worsening crises in education, disaster and climate change, sexual and mental health, and democracy, NYLI remains steadfast in its mission to facilitate positive, community-driven solutions.

NYLI is committed to champion community-led social development prioritizing the welfare of children and young people, bear hope and aid in times of crisis, and actively work to promote human rights and co-create inclusive spaces towards just and sustainable communities.

Governance
Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc. (NYLI) is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, committed to safeguarding the organization’s mission, partners, and the communities we serve. Acting collectively, the Board ensures that effective policies are in place and that the organization’s direction aligns with its strategic goals and values. As volunteers, these trustees selflessly contribute their expertise and time, receiving no remuneration for their services, all in the pursuit of NYLI’s vision to building just and sustainable Filipino communities.

Ethics and Safeguarding
At Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc., we are dedicated to fostering better communities where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. We believe that everyone deserves to live free from exploitation, harassment, and bias. To ensure a safe and supportive environment, we encourage the reporting of any incidents or suspected cases of misconduct.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct. Misconduct is any intentional wrongdoing or improper behavior that violates our policies and procedures. We encourage you to report any such incidents to ensure a safe, ethical, and respectful environment.
Safeguarding
This includes but is not limited to:
- Sexual exploitation or abuse of children or adults
- Human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation
- Harm, neglect, abuse, or exploitation of children, including any sexual activity with anyone under 18 years of age
- Sexual harassment or abuse of team members
Fraud and Corruption
Misconduct related to fraud and corruption may involve:
- Corrupt payments (bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments)
- Conflicts of interest
- Fraudulent activities such as embezzlement, theft, false statements, forgery, impersonation, diversion of resources, or procurement fraud
- Transactions with prohibited parties or misuse of NYLI resources
Human Resources
We take all instances of:
- Discrimination
- Harassment
- Bullying very seriously and encourage immediate reporting to foster a respectful workplace.
If you witness or experience any inappropriate behavior, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through our dedicated reporting hotline at incidents@negrosanonyoungleaders.org. By reporting any suspected cases, you help protect our values and strengthen our commitment to creating a safe, fair, and inclusive environment.
Non-Retaliation and Confidentiality
We understand that speaking up about misconduct can be difficult, and we are committed to ensuring that no one faces retaliation for raising concerns or participating in investigations in good faith. “Good faith” means that the report is made with genuine concern and based on honest, accurate information, even if later proven wrong. Retaliation, such as threats, intimidation, or exclusion, is a serious violation of our ethics, and anyone experiencing it should report it immediately through the Incidents Hotline. Conversely, those who make false reports with malicious intent will face disciplinary action.
