Life Skills for Employability and Financial Literacy Project for the Youth
Project YES (Youth Employment and Success) aims to equip the youth of Negros Occidental with employability and financial literacy skills and enhance their rights-seeking behavior to gain meaningful employment. Project YES seeks to capacitate young professionals through interactive Employment Enrichment Sessions and through its Assistance Desk at Job Fairs organized with multiple local governing bodies.
Activities
1. Training of Trainers
Project YES focused on equipping participants in the Youth Employment and Success Trainers’ Training with key 21st-century skills, empowering them to become champions in the workforce.
2. Employment Enrichment Sessions
Youth Employment and Success seminars and workshops were provided to youth, immersing them in vital 21st-century skills such as resume/CV creation, mastering job interviews, power dressing, financial literacy, and understanding labor laws and rights to pave the way for meaningful employment.
3. Job Fair
At job fairs, Project YES offers free resume consultations to help applicants improve their job applications, as well as photo booth services for high-quality resume photos.
