Project YES Job Fair Initiatives Empower Local Job Seekers

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental – August 27, 2024 – The recently concluded Job Fair at Ayala Malls Capitol Center Bacolod, spearheaded by Project YES of the Negros Youth Leaders Institute (NYLI) under the Pamatan on program, was a resounding success. In partnership with the Province of Negros Occidental, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, the Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC), and Ayala Malls, the event brought together job seekers and employers, fostering meaningful employment opportunities in the province.

The job fair saw an impressive turnout amounting to 515 of local job seekers eager to connect with potential employers across various industries. The event was designed not only to provide job opportunities but also to empower participants with the tools and resources necessary for career success.

Project YES, committed to supporting the local workforce, offered free resume consultations to help applicants enhance their job applications and photobooth services for high-quality resume photos. These additional services were well-received, with many participants expressing gratitude for the personalized assistance.

The event highlighted the power of collaboration among local government units, youth organizations, and the private sector in addressing unemployment and underemployment challenges in Negros Occidental.
