NYLI Recognized for Contribution to Youth Development at SK Awards 2026

Bacolod City, Negros Occidental — The Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc. (NYLI) was recognized for its contribution to advancing youth development programs and creating meaningful opportunities for young people across Negros Occidental during the SK Awards 2026 held at Acacia Hotel on October 3.

The SK Awards brought together Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils and partners to recognize youth councils that demonstrated strong performance based on the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Sangguniang Kabataan Ideal Functionality Assessment.

The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration among youth leaders, local governments, civil society organizations, and other partners in creating spaces where young people can participate, lead, and contribute to their communities.

For NYLI, the recognition reflects the collective efforts of the young leaders, communities, partners, volunteers, and organizations who have been part of its journey since 2016.

Over the years, NYLI has worked alongside young people and communities to create opportunities for learning, leadership, participation, and collective action. Its work spans youth development, education, health and well-being, climate solutions, and democracy and participation.

NYLI expressed its gratitude to everyone who continues to believe in the potential of young people and the power of community-led solutions.

As it continues its work across Negros, NYLI remains committed to amplifying youth voices, strengthening youth leadership, and supporting young people in building communities that are just, sustainable, inclusive, and resilient.
