Bacolod City – Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc. (NYLI Inc.) continues to sustain its compliance as a Social Welfare Agency (SWA) following a two-day monitoring visit conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at the institute’s office, Hulot sang Pamatan-on, Bacolod City, on July 15–16.
The monitoring visit is part of DSWD’s regulatory function to assess the compliance of social welfare and development agencies with established standards and requirements for Social Welfare Agencies. It also allows the Department to provide guidance and technical assistance to organizations delivering social welfare and development programs and services.
For NYLI, the visit reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to maintaining strong systems and responsible operations as it works with and for children, young people, families, and communities across its areas of implementation.
As a youth-focused civil society organization, NYLI implements programs that support inclusive and sustainable communities. Sustaining compliance as a Community-based Social Welfare Agency strengthens the institute’s accountability and reinforces the importance of ensuring that its programs and services are delivered responsibly to the communities it serves.
DSWD regularly monitors SWDAs to ensure that compliance is reflected in their day-to-day operations and service delivery.
The monitoring visit also provided NYLI with an opportunity to review its organizational systems, receive feedback, and further strengthen its work.
For NYLI, sustained compliance is part of its ongoing commitment to accountability and quality service. The institute remains dedicated to providing children, young people, and their communities with meaningful opportunities, enabling mentorship and resources to make a difference.
