Negros Occidental–Youth group Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc campaigns to raise funds to aid flood victims in Victorias, Silay and Talisay Cities. NYLI Inc aims to reach 2, 000 families with basic relief goods and child sexual abuse prevention materials.
“It is our desire to respond as quickly as we can to help Negrosanons cope with the disaster, “ Kevin Gaitan, Executive Director of NYLI Inc shared, “On January 2, we have distributed the first 100 relief packs to flood victims in Victorias City with the help of the SK Council in Barangay 1,” he added.
Tatap Negrosanon, NYLI Inc’s campaign aims to pool PhP 650, 000.00 to provide basic relief items to at least 2000 families.
“We believe that through our contributions, and shared goals, we will able to respond to the most pressing needs of the flood victims, especially the children and youth who are most vulnerable in times of disasters,” Gaitan concludes.
NYLI Inc targets to compliment relief efforts by setting up a child-friendly space and a small debriefing session for children.
