Understanding and responding to the pressing needs of children and teachers in the re-opening of classes amidst the pandemic, Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation through Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc provides school-aged children and youth with basic back to school kits alongside assistance to schools and teachers in printing of self-learning modules.
“Our desire is to ignite hope among our children and teachers, that despite the challenges brought about the pandemic, our bayanihan will help us overcome these,” Churchill Lacuesta, NYLI Inc Special Projects Manager expressed.
Six hundred learners from Cauayan, Sipalay, and Hinobaan received basic back-to-school kits, and 8 schools together with 1 schools division received 600 reams of bond paper to augment the needs for distance learning.
“We are privileged to be entrusted with Consuelo Foundation’s project and aspiration to give hope to children and families in these trying times,” Lacuesta added.
Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc is Consuelo Foundation’s partner in assisting communities adapt to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and advancing child rights education in Western Visayas.
